Prevocational Services
Prevocational Services at ASAP provide structured learning environments where participants build the core skills and work habits needed before entering paid employment. This preparatory stage helps reduce barriers and increases the chance of success in supported or independent jobs.

Contact & Leadership

Our Approach
- Skill development in a safe setting: Practice work behaviors (e.g., attendance, following directions, time management) in a supported environment before transitioning to external jobs.
- Hands‑on simulated work tasks: Work stations, group projects, and role‑playing to try job tasks in a lower‑stakes environment.
- Exposure & exploration: Job tours, volunteer opportunities, and workplace visits to explore careers, learn expectations, and narrow interests.
- Soft skills & professional readiness: Communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, workplace etiquette, self‑advocacy, and resilience.
- Individualized pacing & transition planning: As readiness develops, we collaborate with Supported Employment staff to plan job trials or transitions to paid roles.
Who We Serve
- Individuals who may not yet be ready for paid employment.
- People who benefit from structured time and training to build core work habits.
- Participants who prefer scaffolded environments before entering job placements.
