Julie Colclough has a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of New Mexico. Julie obtained her Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification from Florida Institute of Technology in Sept 2014. Since 2003, she has worked in the special education field at several school districts including Jefferson, Douglas and St Vrain counties.
Ms. Colclough transitioned to the private sector in 2012 when she became a full time autism advocate. Her experience includes working as a behavior specialist for Developmental Disability Consultants and as a Applied Behavior Analyst Instructor for Spectra Autism Center. Once she received her BCaBA certification, Julie held positions as Senior Behavior Therapist and Lead Behavior Therapist at Colorado Autism Consultants from 2013 to 2022.
Julie has worked with children of all ages with autism and other exceptional needs in a variety of setting both inside and outside of the school environment. One of Julie's passions is increasing confidence and strengthening social skills through inclusive peer groups and activities. She has spearheaded and coordinate a variety of programs within the school setting and is now excited to be leading the early childhood and girls group here.
